Oils come in many shades and viscosities. Believe it or not, oils have many uses beyond the kitchen that range from hair to skin. There are many different types of oils and which one you use depends on what you are wanting to obtain from the oil. Oils have very strong healing properties that were even referenced in holy books like the Bible.

It can be a simple addition to your daily habits that will make a big difference. Unhealthy oils to steer clear from are soybean oil, corn oil, cottonseed oil, sunflower oil, peanut oil, sesame oil, and rice bran oil.

Olive Oil
Olive oil is a staple in the Mediterranean diet, one of the healthiest diets in the world. Extra virgin olive oil is the healthiest option because it has been processed the least. Extra virgin olive oil can reduce inflammation in the body because it is rich in antioxidants. Compounds in olive oil can even destroy bacteria that causes diseases like cancer.

Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is great for your hair and for your skin. Research studies prove that coconut oil can lower your rate of heart disease. Coconut oil is a great option to cook with. Use it sparingly, it can be high in calories when used in large amounts.

Studies prove that coconut oil can moisturize your skin, protects against skin damage, and improves your oral health.

Avocado Oil
Avocado oil is a great option for cooking flavorful and healthy meals. Some of the benefits include reduced blood pressure and lower cholesterol levels. Cooking with avocado oil can improve the absorption of nutrients of other foods such as vegetables. Evening adding a drizzle of avocado oil to a salad can improve the absorption of the nutrients and vitamins in the salad.

Consumption of avocado oil can improve skin and the rate in which your hounds heal.
