How To Relieve Aches & Pains

Do you ever wake up from a restful night of sleep with aches, pains, and soreness in your body? You may write it off as a byproduct of aging, but that’s not always the case. Majority of the time you experience aches and pains is due to lack of proper stretching, water consumption, and preventative measures taken.

Aches and pains can be caused by stress, muscle injury, tension, and overuse. It is vital to take care of your body just as much as you train it. Properly caring for your body will increase your health and longevity. After all, you do only get one body!

1. Foam roller
A foam roller is an easy and effortless way to get rid of any pesky kinks and discomforts in your body. Luckily, the foam roller can be applied to your back, thighs, shoulders, and more. Simply place the foam roller beneath the body part you would like to roll, begin moving in an upward and downward motion at a slow pace.

2. Morning yoga
10 minutes of a morning yoga routine can make a huge difference in your balance, flexibility, and overall strength. Starting your morning with a quick yoga routine will warm your body up for the rest of the day.

3. Water
It’s no surprise that drinking the proper amount of water can make the difference between a limber or sore body. Knots in your back and other parts of your body are often caused by lack of water consumption. Aim to drink 8 glasses of water per day.

4. Salt bath
Treat yourself to a bath once or twice a week to relieve pain and stress. An Epsom salt bath contains minerals that detox your body. Epsom salt baths aid in weight loss, alleviate stress, and treat muscle soreness. Try taking an Epsom salt bath before bed since it is a great way to improve sleep.
