Winter time is a time of cold weather, long nights, and a slow tempo compared to the other seasons. The winter season can also be a time of flu, cold, and even covid19. It’s is paramount to your health and wellness, as well as the health and wellness of those around you to partake in activities and actions that will boost your health and immune system. A strong immune system acts like a fortified wall for a castle, it protects and guards you from any attackers lurking outside.

Head To The Sauna
The sauna is a great place to sweat it out. Many Scandinavian countries in cold weather regularly visit the sauna and it’s a staple in their culture. Sauna can reduce your chance of catching flu or other illnesses. It can even lower blood pressure and reduce stress.

Mitigate Stress
Stress and illness are interlinked. The more stress you experience the more likely you are to get sick. Basically, stress is bad and destressing is great for your health. Exercising, partaking in your favorite hobbies, listening to your favorite music, spending time with loved ones are all great ways to destress.

Practice Meditation & Relaxation
Try meditating for 10 to 15 minutes per day. If you are new to the art of meditation and stillness 5 minutes can be enough to begin with. Research studies prove regular meditation can actually reduce markers of inflammation within the body which is one of the leading agents of disease. A well and calm mind can lead to a well body.

Drink Herbal Teas
Teas are used as medicine, not just liquids of pleasure. The best teas to consume for your immune system are green tea, white tea, matcha, peppermint tea, turmeric tea, chamomile, and lemon grass tea.
