It can seem difficult to destress during times like these, especially with all of the hysteria going around due to COVID19. It’s so important to keep yourself in good spirits and pristine health. Immune Boosting Diet
An immune boosting diet is filled with whole, nutritious foods. It is free of processed, junk, and unhealthy foods.
- Drink alcohol in moderation
- 2 servings of vegetables and 1 serving of fruit per day
- Foods like broccoli, citrus fruits, almonds, red bell peppers, garlic, spinach, and yogurt are great additions to your diet
- Lean meats and seafood
- High protein sources
Get Adequate Sleep
Sleep deprivation can cause high blood pressure, diabetes, heart attack, heart failure or stroke. Other problems include obesity, depression, impairment in immunity and lower sex drive. It can even affect your appearance. All of these factors lower your immunity.
Be sure to set aside 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night. If you have trouble getting to sleep and staying asleep you can try drinking chamomile tea, taking melatonin supplements, reading a book, journaling, or turning off your electronic devices before bed.
